It's been another fab year in the studio

The Studio has been buzzing, so many wonderful paintings have emerged. It has been such a privilege to watch everyone develop.
And from time to time it has transformed from workshop to gig venue, (all be it a very tiny one.) What fun!

Last Saturday the Studio had a transformation... from artist workshop to performance space...
It's amazing what a black drape and a few tables and chairs can do.
Ruby Red and the Bakelites tried out their new Jazz numbers, and the Effing Drudge Co. gave us her very funny, stand up routine. Wine flowed and a jolly good time was had by all. I'm looking forward to hosting another experimental evening in the Autumn.

ALL DAY LIFE DRAWING WORKSHOP

Saturday 9th March; 10.00 -4.00

An opportunity to be adventurous and take a fresh look at life drawing. Discover the interplay between the Artist and the model.

We explore, using gestural sketches to look for shape and form. Where is the weight, the dynamic, the flow? In longer poses you can start to experiment, looking for essence, energy, and the relation of the figure to the world around.  Expanding ideas, consolidating and building on what is developing.

All Materials Provided, (and coffee or tea and biscuits.)

Places limited to 8 people. Deposit of £20 secures your spot.

ALL DAY OIL PAINTING WORKSHOP; figure of a woman reading.

Sunday 10th March; 10.00- 4.00

The model will be clothed and in a naturalistic pose. There will be lots of demonstration and tuition. We will explore composition, form, pallet, and hopefully work towards developing your own style.

Please bring your own materials and canvas but I will provide coffee or tea and biscuits (Can't work without a beverage!)

I will send you a list of what you need.

Places limited to 8 people. Deposit of £20 secures your spot.

Art Classes in my studio in Ipswich start up again next week.

Tuesday morning (8th Jan,onwards) 9.30 - 12.00

Wednesday morning (9th Jan, onwards) 9.30 - 12.00

Wednesday evening Life Drawing, (9th Jan, onwards) 6.30 -8.30 pm.

I was wondering if a Thursday Morning Art class would be of interest to anyone? (The other two days are getting full...and we don't want to get too squashed, however its nice when there's a busy buzz.) Message me if you are interested.

Still plenty of room on Wednesday evening though! Please spread the word.
